About the Choir
Children enrolled in the Choir pass through the following levels:
- Training One - (Level One) For new entrants to the Choir, from the age of around seven and above. Choristers learn the fundamentals of singing together and reading music in an enjoyable and supportive environment.
- Training Two - (Level Two) An intermediate level where choristers become more fluent in music and learn to sing in parts, in preperation for entry into the performing choir levels. Slightly older children can enter the Choir at this level.
- Concert Choir - (Level Three) An experienced treble voice choir that performs at concerts, weddings, special events and Christmas functions. Some Concert Choir choristers will tour Sydney in 2011.
- Youth Chorale - (Level Four) An SATB choir featuring young adult voices, performing complex repertoire requiring extensive sight reading skills. Youth Chorale performs regularly and has toured overseas.

Southern Voices rehearses during Victorian government school terms at the following venues:
- Berwick - Monday evenings
Levels One to Three - Monbulk - Monday evenings
Levels One and Two - Keysborough - Tuesday evenings
Levels One to Three - Rowville - Thursday evenings
